Oh my God more and more for parents to worry about. I can not beleive all the new ways for young people to get drugs. And the ways they are useing them. And how about hand sanitizer getting young people drunk. Kids keep getting slicker and slicker. Well I have a 16yr old grand daughter and I will have to keep even a closer eye on her. We have very fortuante becuase she is so involed with cheering and dance and gymnastics and track that takes up all her time and she also has to carry a 4.0 for school and home.

Hey Sheilah, you wrote my blog LOL. I was just thinking about this subject. Good job. I'll have to comment on yours. Yes, I agree the direction that today's youth is going is scary to say the least and how easy it is to get these drugs is even more scary. The forms they come in, lollipops, candy bars, seeming harmless....... an unending list. And the sneaky creative ways... Wow. A parent really has to keep a watchful eye on their kids especially what they're bringing into the home, snack wise. Geez... I am fearful for my grandkids and understand your concerns. I guess the only thing we can do is to keep an eye and educate. Diana
Hi Sheilah
Do you ever watch Dr.G Medical Examiner? I watched a show Sunday that I had taped
last week and she had a twelve year old boy that played the choking game. He was
grounded to his room for skipping class an he took a karate belt an tightened it
but went too far. In the end one of his friends confessed of the game. The boy had
one other scar from before. I guess kids get some kind of high from losing
consciousness,it's terrible what kids are getting into. Karen
It has not come on up here yet in Utah, but I am very interested in watching it.I will comment on it later.
Yvonne
Hi Sludge no I have not watched that show, but I did see about that on Oprah. Yvonne Have you heard about this going on in school.???
Sheliah,I keep my ears open to everthing the kids say these days, and this is all news to me and distubing.Except for the alcohol bonging thats been around for awhile. But I will tell you alot of kids do smoke pot on there lunch break.I can smell it on them.
These kids are the adults of tomorrow, and there is nothing we can do about it....What a shame.

HI It is terrifying the kids seem to be getting into these bad habbits at a younger age . I have my 4 yr old and whats it gonna be like when hes in school. Im gonna have to keep a eye on him at all times not to sound paranoid or anything but what's next ??
While working ambulance we came along similar thing teens came up with to get their thrill on so to speak. the chocking game was way back then also . I had to cut a kid down one time he was blue in the face and his "friends" were standing there watching the whole thing??? I dont get it ????
Sheilah Im glad your grandaughter is so involved in activities !!

I only know about hand santizer being used by drunk poor people in a very small town in Alaska, from a classmate of mine who is an EMT. People will do anything for it there.
