Parents please be sure your kids have rides by you or other parents or maybe do what we did and spilt the cost of a limo with other parents when it comes time for your childs home comming or prom night. My daughter just lost 6 friends in one night do to young teenage drinking and driving. If I would have let her ride with that group of her friends she would be dead. The driver had been drinking but not the other kids on there way to eat hit a truck all died but the kid that was driving the car. And I just found out today the driver of the truck was a father with 3 children ages 2 , 6 and 8 now with out a father. The kids never made it to home comming. This boy that killed his friends is now also dead he killed himself, the note said he could not go on living knowing he killed his friends and someone he did not know. So what I am trying to say is please make sure your kids have responsible rides to theses school events. I feel that teens die more around this time of prom or home comming then any other school event and most of it due to drinking and driving. My son called me around 12pm to please come pick him up his friend had been drinking and did not want to ride home with him so I not only picked up my son but took his friends keys away and took him to to my house to sleep it off . And I don't have to tell you his parents where pisssssssst off at him and I am proud of my son for calling me to get him and not letting his friend drive drunk. This kid may be mad now but at least he is a live to be mad. Thats more than I can say for my daughters friends. I know some of you have already read this story it happened this past weekend and it was only home comming prom is next. I know what I 'm going to do for my child do you when the time comes. They may get mad and say don't you trust me. I trust my son but I don't trust what could happen. Thoses kids did not even know there driver was drinking and look what happened to them.
