Thanks for the pep talk
I appreciate those who commented, it made me feel as though I'm not the only one who has motivation issuse. I am working on my closet today and gathering lots of goodys to yard sale. I do have a few problems that makes it more difficult for me, but I won't let them be used as excuses. No matter how I feel physically or emotionally its important to try and stay focused on my goals and to do...
Need to be motivated
I really looked forward to the summer months. I have most of the summer off because I work in the school system. It seems like most people in my situation always get alot accomplished with their time off, but I can barely get just the basic housework done. I set some goals to reorganize closets and kitchen cabinets and my husband and I have decided to have yard sale soon. Yet I can barely get myself to go...

A new focus on my life, maybe
I know that it seems as though all of my blogs have had something to do with my son. I suppose thats because he's my only child and its just been such a big year for him, but I do have a life. Now my focus on life is to finish my college degree. I'll probably go back to school full time this fall. I've been going part time for the past two years so...

Now what?
My son graduated from High School last night. I can't believe how fast his senior year went. It was not that long ago that he graduated from kindergarten, had his first school dance and the list could go on for a long time of firsts. My husband and I have always been very involved in his life, from T-ball, little league, marching band, scouts, drama club and other interests he's had. We supported him in...

My son is about to graduate
I had no idea how hard its was to see your only child grow into a young man. He will be graduating next week. I am happy and looking forward to it, but also very sad because I know that its the end of one chapter of his life and the beginning of another. He will always be my baby, although I know that I can't treat him that way. One of these days when...

Life lessons for teens
I have written before that I have a 18 year old son. I love him more than life, but as most of us realize we as parents cannot protect them from all of the lessons that life has to teach. Relationships between long time friends can be shattered by rumors and sometimes girlfriends. My son has been dating a young girl for two years and I have nothing against her. My husband and I are constantly making sure they...

Cold weather joint pain

Need more time
I have only written three blogs, this is all new to me. My husband is the naturally gifted writer in our family. But I have found that in this short amount of time that its an enjoyable thing to do. Both of my other blogs have had to do wtih stress and this one is just another. Have you ever known someone that never got in a hurry and some how felt like they had all kinds...

Stress, in many forms
My last blog entry was about my son graduating from high school this year, and while that in its self is a stressfull event, there are many other stressfull things to deel with. All of us have stressfull things to deel with and I would not want to assume that mine are worse than any one else. In the last year I've gone through a total knee replacement due to many injuries, my husbands job situation has...

The stresses of having a high school senior
My only child is about to graduate from high school. I'm very proud of him and it does'nt matter to me that he's not at the top of his class. I'm a firm beleiver that average students make happier, more well rounded adults. Not all children mature at the same rate, and need more time to adjust to adult life. As long as his father and I always let him know he's loved, and were here for...
