About Me

Just two years too early to be a baby-boomer, have raised two sons and have five grandchildren. I'm a breast cancer survivor, triple-negative 5cm tumor, left side mastectomy with TRAM-flap reconstruction, along with heavy chemo and radiation. That was in 1998, and so far, no more evidence of disease.

I'm retired but work part-time and live with four cats in a 55+ village near Sacramento CA.

I've had trouble getting to sleep since chemo in 1998. I take sleep medications, but the best adjunct to that I've found is orange light. I bought a pair of orange safety glasses that I wear in the evening, and orange lighting gel for my reading light in bed. The lack of blue light that results seems to be as effective as no light at all.
