I know I shouldn't be discouraged already, but I am. Didn't lose any more weight on Day #2. However, I'm pretty sure I overdid it with portion size on the Taco Salad I had yesterday for dinner. I guess it was just too much food, even though it was all "Cycle 1" food and I didn't have a snack later in the evening -- only green tea & water. Guess I will just step up my workout and watch the portions more closely today. Even with this minor setback, I still feel like I have more energy and I am still hopeful about the diet.

Hi
Pls dont forget to drink at least 8 8oz of water per day dont give up!
xox
try not to weigh everyday!!! it will help keep the discouragement down :) and just remember you have to hold yourself accountable!! don't be tempted by tempation and weigh out all your proportions!!! keep it up you can do it!!!
hang in there...you will do it...i was discouraged a bit at first but it does move...have fun with this...experiment with spices...i am loving it even if i feel a bit wonky some days...use the hungry meter...continued success...!!!
Don't get discouraged and stop weighing yourself everyday. Give the diet at least a week to kick in. If you eat a bit too much "good food" its way better than eatign too much "bad food". It takes a while to get used to and discover your hunger meter. Keep me informed of your progress- In a week or two - you';; "get it" and be in the right positive mindset.
Thanks so much for all the encouragement! That's what I love about this site ... there is so much support here that I just can't give up. I did much better about portion size today and got in a good workout. Also made sure I drank all my water. It is gonna be a tough for me to not weigh myself every day...guess I'm wanting to see instant results. I think I'll hide my scales for a few days :) On a good note, my husband and I were invited out for dinner tonight and we were both able to stick to the diet. I had grilled tilapia and steamed broccoli and was able to resist the chips & dip that our friends ordered.
TRISH....please don't give up!!! You can do this!! Make sure you are hydrating enough & be sure not to eat fruit or carbs after 2:00pm. You also need to be careful with portion sizes. I believe in you. If I can do this....YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
Thanks, Bekki. Thanks for your encouraging post. I haven't given up, even though I'm not seeing much change in the scales. But my clothes do seem to be a little looser -- hope that's not just wishful thinking :) But I am discovering new recipes all the time and think this is something I can stick with. My husband has lost 7 lbs in 5 days, which is really great and I'm so happy for him. I've been staying at about 3 lbs. I am determined to continue this for the long term because I want to be healthy ... and I'd like to get back into my clothes that don't fit too :P Thanks, again, for your support and helpful tips. I really do appreciate it.
Trishwill you send me some of your recipies? You can friend me on facebook & message me.

We are always in such a hurry to drop those pounds & I have to wonder how much thought we gave to gaining them! Don't be in such a hurry. I hear this is lifetime! That's a long time! So we have to think of this as a program for life, not a diet. They should have left that word out of the title. This is my second day. I didn't think I liked green tea and found out that I love it. So far, I am following all the rules - but I did snitch half of a diet coke today! But with all the tea, water and 1 coffee, I don't think the body realizes it (LOL)! How much do you have to drop?
I plan on weighing only twice a week, at the same time, in the same nightgown! I promise myself to not get discouraged. There is no way this isn't going to work!
Thanks, Wags10. I have definitely started taking a healthier approach to the weight loss. I'm trying not to worry so much about how fast I lose it, just that I steadily continue to lose. I still am in the habit of weighing myself every morning, but now it's not so much about how fast I am losing but about reminding myself at the start of each day where I am headed and how close my goal is.
I had a bad time last night but did not cave. I always have enjoyed fruit at night and now it has to be gone at 2:00. I guess that will be my yougurt time. I will eventually get use to this. What do you all do after dinner?
