I just want to congratulate your show for helping bring attention to the problem of stuttering. Our son has been stuttering since the 3rd grade. He was already in speech therapy to correct pronunciation problems that stemmed from having ear infections when he was 3 months old to 3 years old. opportunity to make up the work. Had to get the principal involved in that problem. When he was in the 5th grade, I was working as a Special Ed. Assistant at another school. I was finally convinced to have him tested for a learning disability. He scored 128 IQ. I was told that he was gifted w/ a learning disability. With a few modifications that decreased each year, he was in advanced classes through out the rest of his school years. His senior year in high school, there was a morning TV show that mentioned the Speech Easy. A couple of people told me about it. A teacher from another school made a point to get to our son at a school organization meeting and tell him about the Speech Easy. We were able to find a company in Lexington, KY. that was a dealer for the Speech Easy. We made the appointment in mid March 2003. His speech correction was just as dramatic as Jenifer's was today. On the way home, he said that since he could talk, he wanted to be a teacher. He is now in his second year of teaching high school agriculture.
