Hello, Thank you for having this site.  I am a married mother of two teens.  I live in the DC metro area but in the country. I have been disabled since I was 18, so I volunteer. I feel that at least I can contribute in some way.  I am an amputee. I received a prosthetic leg that was perfect on Jan. 10 last year.  I use my wheelchair when there is a lot of walking but I have graduated PT and moved to the fitness program they have.

Our family loves animals! We have 3 chihuahuas, 1 big dog, 1 goose, 4 chickens and just rescued 5 ducks.  We have a small wildlife refuge in the next county over and we take in the water fowel that can not be released or needs help before being able to be released.
