I'm 22 years old. Ever since I started getting my period it's always been irregular. I been off and on the birth control pill since I was 15, been taking it steadily for a year and 5 months now and counting, which has made me have regular periods. But, i'm afraid that I can't have any kids.. I fear that but also that i will go back to irregular periods once stop taking the birth control pills.. I know it's not impossible to get pregnant when have irregular periods but the fear is still there.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do to ensure that I can have kids when the time comes when ready to start a family of my own? Anything you did that worked?
Thanks

I use to worry about the same thing. I can't tell you why I did, but I worried. I was on Birth Control for over 15 years before I started plaining to have a baby. I started taking them when I young, because I didn't have regular periods, and when I did get my period it was very painful and would last for over a week. When I was ready for a baby I got one. It only took me 3 months to get pregnant and we didn't have to try very hard!
Maybe we just have a a little thought in the back of our minds that we are messing with what God gave us (female parts).

I have something sort of like this.
I get about 3 periods a month. But mine are so bad that I cant go to school or gymnastics or anything. The pain is so excrutiating that I have to lay in bed all day and I just cry for hours and cant breath. I sometimes am afraid that I wont be able to have childrenm even though I am only sixteen and it will be a while.
I have a condition that I take medicine for, but nothing will help. Ask you doctor, and I am sure that he can help you. What I have, the only cure is to have children. But only 40% of women who do have it will never have children.
I'll pray for you.
Julie.
