About Me
I'm a young-at-heart 64 year old. I volunteer for several different organizations. Since my job was eliminated a few months ago, I'm able to do more of the volunteer work that I love. I'm too active to "retire," so I'd like to find some sort of part time position to stay involved with the business world. I must admit, though, I do like the freedom of doing what I want, when I want.
One of my favorite volunteer activities is pet therapy. I had to retire my sweet poodle from doing pet therapy, because he is old, deaf, and losing his eyesight. I'm working with a trainer now to prepare my young Peek-a-Poo to become a pet therapy pooch.
For ten years I've had fibromyalgia. Over the years my rheumatologist and I have tried different supplements and drugs, and different ones have worked at different times. After a flare up last summer, we decided I should try Lyrica, and I'm so glad I did. Once we got the dosage adjusted for me, it has been wonderful. I wanted to share that in case you find this information helpful.
I enjoy networking and sharing experience and information with others.

My comment is about the show that was about hot flashes/menpause. Dr. Lisa recommended a product called Cool Flash. I ordered it from drugstore.com, which is the only place I could find it. It's really great, but not cheap at $10. for .5 ounce, plus $6. shipping. Well, I've come up with a better solution. Foot creams that contain menthol/peppermint work just as well, and you can get them at Ulta, or your local pharmacy, and they are much cheaper. The one I'm currently using is made by J.R.Watkins and I can get it at Ulta. Eleven ounces was around $10. And, it's all natural and not tested on animals.
