Hey all!!!
So I am doing pretty well.
My wound has finally healed. Thank goodness!
Though it is on to new challenges. I am fighting with my insurance company to get my forteo covered, and my shoulder is so so loose that it could literally dislocate with any movement.
It seems to be one thing after another.
Oh well such is life.
Brianna

Hey Brianna,
You're a strong lady always remember that! Sorry I haven't been on or chatted with you in a long time! Doesn't mean I haven't thought of you.

Thanks for letting us know how you are doing! Glad the incision has healed.
Melissa.
I have a problem with my left shoulder-it dislocates due to severe lack of cartilage and muscle/tendon weakness around the joint! One of the things I have done is to do my own "physical therapy" on it. If you go onine and look for exercises that are designed to strengthen your shoulder after a rotator cuff surgery-these exercised will help tighten up the tendons and help (not fix) the issue of the loose joint. These exercises work for most people, however if you have a disease or disorder that causes hypermobility and loose joints, you may require surgery to tighten the tendons in your shoulder. Its a fairly straight forward surgery(involving shortening the tendons)- I've had it done on my ankle. The rehabilitation is slightly painful, but I have to say it was well worth it! I hope you feel better and I wish you the very best!
Hey Bri, I am glad to hear your wound is finally healed. No cancer? Good news. Jsking sounds like she has a good suggestion. That is what attracted me to this site in the first place. People helping people. It will be a great day when you can come on and say, Hey all my Drs, Friends, I am ready to take on the world because all my ailments are gone and I am off to med school so I can give someone else the relief I have received. we will pray for you in the mean time that you have continued success and more of it!! Good hearing from you. Hugs, Bobbie
Hey guys!!
Thanks for all the great comments and suggestions!!
As for the cancer I am not sure yet that will depend on if I get to take the forteo or not.... I am currently fighting my insurance company to get them to cover it.
As for jsking's suggestion of looking up the exercises, I appreciate it and I would if I weren't already in Physical Therapy with a therapist giving me exercises to do. I saw my pediatrician on thursday, he said it is subluxating out and told me I needed to get in to see my orthopedist. I am going to go see him in a week, because I already have an appointment @ that time to get my cast off from my latest broken arm. So I will have to see what he says then, if he just wants me to continue with exercises and try to stengthen it or if he wants to do surgery and fix it and then strengthen.
I will let you guys know what happens!
Thanks again!
Brianna
