I just recently turned 25 and I have always been active and athletic my whole life, but now that I work alot, I am beginning to pickup the dreaded male "love handles, beer belly belly fat" or what ever you like to call it. My question to everyone is what can I do about this? I have started to do some research and most of what I read basically says eat right and workout your entire body, not just the belly. Well, by eat right, does that mean dont eat as much as I normally would or eat slower or what? Also, I am considering doing P90X to work myself back in shape, what are some opinions this workout plan?

I'm not a male, but from a female point of view, I find that my belly fat goes down if I stick to meals and minimize snacks, and no grazing during the day. I don't know if this is how it effects me only though. I just know that I am always grazing during the day, and the weight stays the same. When I have a few days in a row where I eat meals with minimal snacks, the belly fat -- I can actually see a small difference. And yes, i agree working out your whole body and not just your belly; I've read in many places that spot-reducing doesnt really work. Here is one article I found:

There are many more articles out there too.

Also the green tea is great for losing belly fat. I would start with smaller portions, healthy eating, and some exercise. Even if its 30 mins a day only, walking is great for belly fat. Do it now cuz the older you get the harder it is to lose
@melissaw72, I absolutely need to graze during the day because my metabolism is so fast. If I dont eat small snacks every 4-5 hours I tend to feel miserable, but as I was stating before I did decide to start working on a workout routine so hopefully this will do me some justice. Oh thanks for the link I am going to check it out now.
@softailgirl, what exactly does the green tea do? You are definately right about the older you get, the harder it is comment. Trust me I feel like its hard now lol
