I'm a young 68 meaning I still enjoy the following things:

• dancing like crazy
• dressing  young
• having fun

BUT

I am overweight.  I have bad teeth and am too poor to get them fixed because I'm on a fixed income.  I have age-spots and I've had skin cancer several times due to the fact that I had x-ray treatments for acne when I was a teenager,  However, people still tell me how young I look even though I feel so embarrassed  by my  teeth that I dare not smile too big.  One of my "two front teeth" is so bad that I know it needs pulling and I literally have no molars left with which to chew my food.  Therefore it is very difficult for me to diet because I can't eat any raw vegetables such as those in salads or raw fruits such as apples etc.

I taught school for about 20 years and specialized in remedfial reading.  I loved it but I don't have any retirement money left due to the fact that I had to withdraw it years ago.  I don't even have enough money to buy a used car now and so I ride a bike almost everywhere I go here in town which I thought would be good for me but then I had to have hip-replacement surgery.  Now I can ride again but walking is still difficult and tireing because one of my legs is shorter than the other.  I can't even substitute teach any more because I don't have the transportation to get to work and our town (Ponchatoula, La.) does not have a public transportation service and shares only one cab service with Hammond, La. which is five miles away. 

Regardless of my situation though, I still feel lucky because I have a very nice fiance who is sixty-six and retired also.  He helpsme as much as he can but he still works part-time and really doesn't get much money to live on and so I hate to ask him to pay for my dental care as well as a much needed dermabrasion and a much desired face-lift.  Now you may ask, "Why don't you go to a dental school such as the LSU dental school to get your teeth fixed?" and I would have to answer, "...because I would have to get on a waiting list that is months and months long and I need my teeth pulled now!"  Do you have any suggestions?
