I am on day 8 and lost 8 pounds - how exciting to feel so much better, not crave sweets or pastas and see the pounds drop.
I am tracking my meals, weight and exercise on livestrong.com under The Daily Plate and find that I am having a hard time keeping the calories to 1200. I'm eating three healthy meals and two snacks daily, but not hungry. Being a pro in the dieting field (but not successful at the weight loss) I don't want to limit my calories below 1000-1200 and shift my body into a starvation mode.
Any suggestions?

Hi Deb. I also spent time in the Weight Loss field, in fact I actually owned 2 Weight loss Clinics at one time in the past. I also am much better at helping others than I am at helping myself. I wonder how tall you are and how much you have to lose. As you know these all play a part in your calorie intake. I am almost 5'9 and fairly large boned. I tend to metabolize like a Man because of my height, even at 72. I am doing well with this program even though there are'nt as many calories as I thought there would be. I think we won't have to worry so much about our Metablism slowing down due to the Diet confusion that Dr. Mike has incoporated into the diet. I wish you all the best.
