I am a homemaker, having lived in Florida for years and years.   I'm also married for the 2nd time to a wonderful man.   It really is true,  love is better the 2nd time around.  I have 2 grandsons, one is 18, the other is 9.  I have really gotten into cooking the past 2 years and really love making wonderful dishes for my hubby, friends and family.   My husband is a really big boy, being 6' 6" and about 280 lbs,  he really loves to eat so I have sort of a "captive audience" in him.

We both love animals,  we have 4 kitties and 3 dogs, so we have a houseful.  The kitties were ferals who we took in as tiny babies.   Our dogs are Bandit,  who's about 15, and is totally blind from cataracts,  Peanut is our live wire.   He's a Jack Russell Terrier (or TERROR depending on how you look at it).   He was given to us by my husbands daughter.   And last but not least is Lady,  she's what I call my "throwaway" dog.   She was dumped out only a few blocks from our house and she made her way here and we've loved her and kept her ever since.   She's part Lab, and the other half we're not sure of.   Probably either German Shepherd or Great Mountain Pyrenees or maybe some Rotweiler..   She's the most loving and affectionate dog I've ever seen.   She loves people, no matter who they are.   That could come from her being abused and dumped out.   For the past 6 months, we've been doing pet therapy, which is going to the local hospital and also a nursing home to visit with patients.  She's a certified pet therapy dog, who is registered with Therapy Dogs Inc.   We had to take some training and she had to pass an obedience test to see if she would qualify.   Its been very rewarding for us,  we love meeting new people and trying to bring them some joy.
