My name is Sandy, I am 54 years old and tired of being fat, unhealthy, sad, and using food as my only companion.  I am currently unemployed with no job prospects.  I have wonderful supportive parents and 2 friends that will support me.  I went back to college in my 40's to get my degree in Social Work, and hoped that would make a difference in me because I actually completed something and in the lives of others.  I have also had gastric bypass surgery which did well at first but even though I exercised and ate like I was supposed to I lost the first 80 pounds and then grew tired of trying for what and gave up on myself entirely. I have become more and more depressed and have prayed to God to please let me die many times but that didn't work either, so I am guessing I am still here for some reason.  I am now ready to take the steps towards a better and healthier and hopefully happier life.
