Dear Dr.s. My name is Lynn Shanley and I am 65 years old. I live in florada with my husband of 47 years. On the very limited income. We have four children and five grandchildren and one great grandchild. I have high cholesterol and a thyroid problem and was overweight. I exercise anywhere from 5 to 6 days a week and was not losing the weight I thought I was eating right but still could not get rid of the weight. About three months ago or so my husband suggested putting calendars on are refrigerator door and write down every calorie we were eating. We started by not having any solid foods for about two days. And then started eating about 800 two 1000 calories a day and put everything on the calendar every day. Within two or three months we lost on the average of about 25 pounds each. And we are still losing until we reach our goal. When we reach our weight goals we will start eating the recommended calorie per day that we should be eating. My husband was going on 68 years old and at one time was 300 pounds and had medical problems such as eight stents in his heart high cholesterol sugar diabetes and was taking many medications that he was having very bad side effects from. After losing the weight he has stop taking most of the medication and mentally and physically he is doing much better. My husband and I think that just about anyone can get back most of their health and well being back by trying this method. The only problem let is loose skin.
