Has this happened to you? Some doctors must be under the impression that since you are the sick one and have to visit them you should wait for them in spite of how late they are? Here is what happened to me this week. At the age of 47 having been diagnosed with MS and early Dementia combined with ongoing PTSD (for the last 10 years) I have been paraded to doctors for the last year. It seems that I have a doctor for every part of my body. This started on Sunday (3/21) at 2:15pm when I had an appointment with the endocrinologist. I was punctual as always even 10 minutes early. Being that it was Sunday there were no one else in the clinic after waiting for 50 minutes (the doctor had not come out of the office) I lost my patience and left. I had left a note on the doctor’s office. On 3/25 I get a call from her saying she needed to see me and that I should come to her office the next day at 2:15 to go over my tests she went on to say that I cannot be that busy that I had to leave after all I was not the president of USA. Isn’t our time important? How long are we supposed to wait? Isn’t the rule of thumb 15 minutes?
To top this off I went to another doctors on Tuesday here again the appointment was at 3:00pm I got there about 2:45 was seen at 4:00pm I was seen an hour after my scheduled visit time. I have been very patient with doctors all my life but this last year has driven my patience to the limit.
We may not be the president of a country but we are the ruler of our body and should be considered as important as the president and should be seen in a timely manner.

We should be able to charge a doc for the time he/she is late if that is the case and makes us wait. Some bill an appt you didn't wait for (even though their fault) as a no-show. And they also IMO should bill US more if we are late, or withing a mutual time frame. Respect works both ways.
