My 2 year old grandson seems to have a sore penis &/or testicle area. He will not let anyone get close to it without screaming; he holds his knees together & protects that area with his hands. We cannot see any redness or swelling, but the testicles do seem to be rather firmer than usual.
The doctors office said if there is no redness, swelling, or discharge & if he is urinating, then not to worry, but that is hard to do when he is in so much pain.
Any help very much appreciated.

I certainly hope I am 100% correct when I say, there is no chance. The parents are very christian, church going people & the mother is the assistant director at the daycare where her children go; but that is a question that worries all of us at times. Is there an instance or case in which you have heard of this type of soreness from such?
His Dad did take him to the Dr & they found a small trace of blood in his urine, so put him on antibiotics - can't tell yet if that will make a difference.

Have you thought about bypassing your family dr. and taking him to a urologist? That is more their area of knowledge. Oh and possible to a child psycologist, they have ways of interacting with the kids in a non threating manner and have an easier time assessing if the child has been abused.
Has is penis enlarged into a pop bottle like formation? my son had this happen due to an infection. Poor guy, hope everything works out. I think it's an infection of some sort, is he urinating blood?
