Thank you to won2xx, MajorC, LVMYBOYS2003 and many others for your suggestions about producing a show on childhood cancers. We know this is a devastating illness that affects young children as well as their families. Knowing that cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children in the U.S., and because so many of you voted for this idea, we are currently doing research to see how we can develop this idea for TV. Keep checking this site for updates.
We love hearing your ideas, so keep submitting them!

Hi everyone! I’m Jay McGraw, creator and executive producer of The Doctors. Welcome to ProduceTheDoctors.com! We’ve created this site so that you, our viewers, can participate in producing The Doctors and TheDoctorsTV.com. We’ve said from the very beginning that our viewers are our producers, and we really mean it!
We encourage you to submit your ideas for the show -- tell us what you’re interested in and what you want to see more of. You can also vote on ideas that you like most.
Ideas with the most votes will be reviewed by our producing team. Check the In Production section frequently to see special messages from our producers letting you know which topics will be produced live on-air, and get a behind-the-scenes peek at what's coming up. Then, check the Watch Your Idea section to see the segments as they appear on the show!
As our viewers, you’re the most important part of the show, and we’re excited to hear all of your ideas.
Thanks for watching and start producing!
Hello Doctors community!
like to give a huge thank you to Debbie in Wichita for
submitting her Varicose Veins show idea. Debbie wanted us to address the best way to
treat varicose veins. So, Debbie, we heard you, and guess what? We
searched high and low and found a vein specialist who has been
performing a cutting-edge procedure that reduces the appearance of
those unsightly varicose veins. We’re taping the story this week, so
thedoctorstv.com line-up in early October to see when it will air and watch your idea come to life on The Doctors!
Keep submitting your ideas! They’re great, we’re listening and stay tuned for more ideas in production.

We have received a lot of suggestions for a show about Addison’s disease. One in particular was a request from elwhelan in Coral Springs, Florida asking The Doctors to bring awareness to this debilitating disease.
Ellen was diagnosed with Addison’s disease when she was 20 years old – she’s now 47. It took three years for doctors to diagnose her, so she was hoping The Doctors would shed some light and inform doctors and viewers about the disease.
Tune-in Monday to learn the symptoms and signs of this possibly fatal disease.

We are excited to inform you that we are producing an entire show about the flu. Mymartinez suggested we discuss the pros and cons of the swine flu vaccination, and we’re taking it further. In this one-hour special, The Doctors will separate flu fact from fiction, tackle your biggest fears, and give you the answers you need to know to protect yourself and your family. There will be special reports from affiliates in all time zones and the latest news from across the country. The Doctors also goes inside the CDC to give you unprecedented access to the daily briefings, labs, and research our government is running to protect America from a flu pandemic.
Tune in Monday where all of your flu questions will be answered!

Community member leahtaylor shared her story with us and explained that she suffers from migraine headaches. She suggested we produce a segment explaining the different types of headaches. Leah's not alone; 45 million Americans suffer from chronic headaches. In fact, we spend four billion dollars a year on over-the-counter headache medicines.
We took Leah's suggestion to cover headache types, triggers and treatments, but we didn't stop there! We decided to tackle all of your biggest body aches, from your head to your toes! In this show, you'll not only hear surprising cures for your headaches, but innovative ways to treat your neck and back aches, and how to tell the difference between a knee ache and a knee injury. Plus the high-tech demo and must-know tips to help you survive your stilettos!
Tune-in on Thursday!
