Clusters of Auto-immune diseases in families

The previlence of auto-immune diseases in families and the reasons for them. As an example, my family, I have 3 daughters aged 29-35, my oldeset was diagnosed with Lupus at 16, my middle daugther has had Reynauds from 14-20, ITP from 21-31, and now has a yet named auto-immune disease that has caused 2 heart attacks; my youngest and myself both has Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. There is thyroid disease throughout the family and also a few cases of ITP.
What causes these diseases and the treatment for them.
