I am a changed person thanks to my awesome Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who kept pursuing me even through the years when I was playing church. I've been married to the same wonderful man for 22 years and counting. I'm a former paralegal who left the work force to become a full-time mother and wife. My husband and I have 4 beautiful children, and I'm proud of every one of them. Our 21 yr-old is out on his own, has a great job and is so mature and grounded it's hard to belive that we raised him! Our 19 yr-old is living at home and working hard toward a nursing degree in college. She is such a help to me. Our 9 yr-old is homeschooled, and he's our wonderful, complex Aspie (from the planet Asperger's). He blows us away sometimes with his quick wit and his philosophical musings on complex subjects. Then he'll have a full-blown falling down in the floor meltdown and snap us back to reality. He recently started bio-medical intervention under the care of a DAN doctor, and we're excited to tackle and hopefully reverse the negative effects of autism, but we're hesitant at the same time because so much of who he is may be tied to the disorder, and we don't want to lose anything but the ill effects. Our 1 yr-old is simply a joy. It's fun to slow down and just enjoy him, knowing he's our last (if not--the urologist will be paying child support!). We know he'll be a wonderful blessing in our old age, since he'll probably still be at home when we're in diapers.
