Life is an interruption to my reading.  Lately I get interrupted constantly.  I'm a caregiver wife to a retired Army officer with Primary Lateral Sclerosis.  He's 6'6" and weighs 270.  I'm 5 feet tall and half his weight.  He's 69, I'm 71.  It's getting overwhelming.  He has a power chair and right now his right leg and foot are useless.

I love animals.  He won't let me have a pet.  He's an early bird.  I am a night owl.  I hang in there until he goes to bed about 8:30, and I can have a relaxing bath, a bedtime sherry, and read.  He whistles for me at 4:30 and wants to go potty.  I pray to God that I can endure.
