About Me

I am a retired military man.  Diabetes and cancer runs in my family and I didn't want to be related to either one of those illness.   Growing up down south we call diabetes "sugar" . Well "sugar" Diabetes caught me off guard in 2007.

Went to the doctor for something completely different and the doctor asked me point blank "What are you doing about your diabetes?" It hit me like a ton of bricks, scary even. But as I learned  and became more educated about diabetes I was able to mentally calm down.

I have stepped up paying attention to my health and doing healthy activities. Plan on making it to 50 in less than 2 years. Actually shooting for 89 years of age.

Never smoked but know alot of people who have passed on from cancer.

It's funny that I was just introduced to the electronic cigarette a couple of days ago (5 Jan 2009) and was impressed by the health benefits of it vs tobacco cigarettes.  I also like the fact there is no second hand smoke for me to involuntary inhale or the smelly cigarette odor that "seems" to only affect the non-smokers.

I've come to the reality that - people are going to smoke no matter what.

So I got involved in being an advocate and distributor of electronic cigarettes.

Then, coincidently The Doctors did a piece on electronic cigarettes a couple of days later (7 Jan 2009). It blew me away(no pun intended).

Now, I feel great knowing I'm able to introduce an alternative safer smoking device that does not have the cancer producing chemicals found in a tobacco cigarette to friends, family and other smokers. But the best part is they can possibly live longer and I won't have to be wondering about the effects of second hand smoke.

No Cigarette Cancer for me.
