Day 4 brings good numbers! Today's weight......159.2, down another 1.6 pounds! I've made it to the 50's. I know this dramatic loss is not going to last forever....but I am loving it while it does. I knew something was going on when I got up and my clothes actually felt lose…that hasn’t happened in a while. I went shopping at Wal-Mart last night and bought a ton of veggies, some I've never used before, such as the leak. It looks like a green onion on steroids...lol. From what I understand, it has an onion taste...we shall see. I've decided my crisper drawers are not big enough, they are bulging at the seems there is so much stuff in there. And some farmer around here really knows how to grow cucumbers...they were huge this week...if I slice them the way I normally do the cucumber disk could seriously fit on a hamburger bun and be spilling out the sides. Oh…and I’m doing the most exciting thing, my husband and I have decided to try to start a garden this year. We got lots of seeds of yummy stuff to plant, now only if it would stop raining long enough for us to go out without a row boat we could get some of them planted. I also bought two starter kits of herbs and a salsa garden. They come in these cute little tins that sit on your windowsill in your kitchen. Now, we just have to pray all this stuff grows. So here is what I ate yesterday:
Wake up: warm water with juice from ½ a lemon
Breakfast:
2 hardboiled eggs
½ grapefruit
Green tea
1 cup of coffee
Morning snack:
Small Apple
Lunch:
Same salad as yesterday…it’s the super salad in the cook book
Grilled chicken breast (more leftovers)
Green Tea
Dinner:
Grilled Chicken cooked on foil on George Forman grill, added lemon juice for moisture, beer can chicken seasoning (the lemon gave it a different flavor…Yumo!)
Raw Baby carrots, broccoli, cauliflower drizzled with 1 tbsp of olive oil and sprinkled with a pinch of salt and liberal pepper
Green Tea
Evening Snack
Oikos Greek Honey Yogurt
Got all my water in: 8 glasses of water
Today is my husband’s birthday so I’m not sure what is in store for activities, one thing I do know…there will be no cake! LOL! I have a ton of homework to do for my global issues class…so I see a lot of typing in my future…come on May 7th…I am ready for a break from school after that statistics class I just finished…my brain still hurts from that…until tomorrow I bid you farewell and happy eating…

Good for you Heather! I can't wait to be in the 150's again. I am about 166 and am just starting the 17 DD. Tried the Feta and Spinach chicken on the recipe area...great! Keep up the good work. How will I go without eating Easter candy in the morning??
My husband and just built and planted a small vegetable garden yesterday. I can't wait to see if I can grow something! I made leeks by roasting them in a little olive oil and a sprinkle of parmesen. I found they had more of a licorice flavour.
congrats on this diet of results u have been having:) I would like to try do u have any ideas to share?

I am surprised as to how well this diet is working. I tend to be eating a lot of chicken. I cook most everything on the George Forman Grill so I am not adding much fat when I'm cooking. I've been trying to put the chicken or fish on foil and putting some lemon juice on it to keep it from sticking and it also adds flavor. Planning seems to be the key to this diet. I planned my entire first week of what I would have for every meal and every snack. I haven't done so well planning that far ahead in the second week, I've been so busy at work and busy with school work that I just can't seem to find the time, but I am planning the day when I get up in the morning and that makes it easier instead of going into starvation mode and just grabbing something that I shouldn't.
