I'm a sahm of a 17 year old special needs son (Asperger's Syndrome Disorder, ADHD, ODD, OCD and Bi-polar) and have a married daughter who has blessed us with three gorgeous grandchildren.  I recently had lap band surgery which will allow me to be the tent building, bug catching, chalk drawing, mud pie making nana that I want to be.  So far 80 pounds down and another 60 to go!  I've been married 23 years to the love of my life whom I met through a newspaper singles column...my day's version of online dating.  I'm the Queen of the Broken Arrow Babes, a local Broekn Arrow, OK chapter.  I love to cross-stitch, crochet and macrame with a little quilting thrown in the mix.

This June our daughter and her family will be moving in with us.  We live in a small  three bedroom, ranch style home.  We'll all fit, somehow, but I'm sure we'll adapt.  They will only live with us for about 6 months or until they get back on their feet.  It'll be great having my daughter home again and having my grandchildren (ages 7, 3, 1) around to semi-spoil.  "The simplest toy, one which even the youngest child can operate, is called a grandparent."
