About Me

Just turned 36 on 9/20 - have a 9 year old daughter with celiac disease and a son (2 Y.O.) about to make his dad and I go insane because he will not "mind" us.  We don't know what to do with him.  I am an RN but lost my job August 3, 2009 and am very depressed along with BROKE.  My husband can't take much more I don't think.  Our daughter was just diagnosed february 2009  and we need some new food ideas for her and some explanation of the disease.  Her groceries are so expensive, I've tried to get state help but with my husband's income which we do need we can't get that either.  I just want to get caught up with out bills, get a job and have money to carry my children to see things and not be tied down to our small area.  Most of all I just want some peace in my home again instead of always more drama.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties.  I too am an RN.  Check out my blog for nurses (I am posting information on how to find a job).  You can find it by googling healthy nurse blogs.  I certainly know what celiac disease is but as far as I know there is only one solution;  strict diet and depending on how severe, having to watch the content of body lotions etc.  Hang in there

These are my children dressed for Halloween.  My daughter wants to be a nurse like me (her mother) when she grows up but I keep telling her to be the lawyer for the nurses and doctors!!

I would like to learn more about celiac disease for my daughter and spend less money due to only one parent working right now.
