About Me
I was born into this life the youngest of 4 children in Eugene, Oregon, I lived in Oregon until I was in high school. Life seemed to take my family in many directions, moving every several years became to be habit for us. We moved to California where I finished my high school years and received my diploma. While living in Nevada, with what seemed like no direction in my life; I joined job Corps and took several courses trying to further my education. I got a degree in Doctoral Notes & Business Finance. I met my children's father, Stan at Job Corps; we dated for about a yr. before we decided we would get married in 1984. While pregnant with our first child we decided we would move to Manteca,CA to be closer to our families. Our first child, Melissa Rose was born in October of 1985 with a heart condition and died 3 months later in January. I guess God decided she was too special for us on earth and wanted her back. As things go," Here cames the children!!!" In November 1986, God blessed us with a healthy, chunky 10 lbs. 1 oz. of screaming lungs and "feed ne now" attitude that we named Matthew Levi. 15 months later in Febuary 1988, God seemed to want to continue with child blessing, so along came Michael Lee. Chunky 10lbs 11oz just like his brother but oh so differant as far as attitude, his was laid back. I was advised that it would be in my best interest if I did not have anymore children. When I asked why the dr. simply said my body could not nor would not be able to carry another child of large size,.I had agreed to surgery but before we could get everything in place and scheduled on the books I was already pregnant with my 4th child. This darling little angel was given to us quite a bit early at 22 weeks(5-1/2 months) and was not quite ready to live outside the comforts of mom. Annette Allyssa was born August 16,1989 and tipped the scales at 2lb 8oz;
That for me, WAS ENOUGH.
During this marriage there were numerous bouts with abuse between my chilren's father and I. I soon realized that I needed to regain my livelihood and left him. I had remarried several times to what I thought were lovely men, but I soon found out through counseling, that I was the one looking for the wrong things in my life. Once I realized that, that is when my heart opened up and my eyes really opened and I found my current husband. His name is Rick and we have been married for the last 4 yrs. I have known him for over 10 yrs helping him take care of his son, Chris; I just never opened my heart to him. Chris may not be my birth son but he claims me and I claim him, it is the love that counts.
My boys have now grown into quite handsome young men. The oldest has even made me a grandma to a beautiful little girl named Melissa Ann, which he named after his sister.
I now have another son, Chris; which is my husband's son; He may not be my birth son but he claims me and I claim him, it is the love that counts.
I enjoy reading, sewing, playing with my dog and cooking for loved ones. I enjoy my quiet evenings alone with the Lord and my dog Rusty.
I enjoy singing in choirs and praise and worship. What melts my spiritual heart more than anything is seeing revival among the young people. It is a beautiful thing to see young folks and children praying for eachother. God be with you all.
