All I want to do is get a good nights sleep. I am not into taking lots of sleeping pills but I broke down last night and took an Ambien. The result...still no sleep. Anyone know anything natural I could take or changes I could make to my lifestyle to help me get to sleep and stay asleep through the night?

Maybe you could ask your doctor for a sleep study...that could be helpful to see if it is something you don't know about, ie sleep apnea, is the cause of your sleeplessness.

hello sleepyhead, the one thing that works taakes time but works. first thing is to pick a time to ALWAYS go to bed,and a time to always get up. also you can get melatonin at your local health food store.when combinded withe a sleeping schedule it works. However you have to commit to these tried and true ways for a few months before the combo works because it takes time for the melatonin to get into your body. Good Luck and Sweet Dreams!!!
I believe it is melatonin. I used to use it, you can find it in the vitamin section of almost any store and I don't think it is very expensive. Follow the directions and hopefully you will sleep.
I was going through some rought times and was having sleep issues too. It worked everytime, from day one for me.
