I was watching the show the other day and breastfeeding was listed as a means of encouraging weight loss. I wanted to add that not all women experience this benefit and had it not been for a great friend of mine i would have been eternally depressed when I couldn't figure out why when i breastfed my daughters i gained weight. There are some of us who are unlucky! Just wanted to add this comment so those of us who don't know don't drive themselves crazy wondering why they are gaining weight while breastfeeding.
