itchy flakey skin on face

Can anyone help me with this problem on my face in the pic in my phots? My dermatologist says it is Seborreah. But he gave me this white cream to put on it. It worked ok for a yr or so. Now it is worse than ever. The pic was taken on a good day. Most days it totally covers the area of my face u see plus all the way up and around my nose. It's all over my scalp too. Can anyone help plz?

i would try washing ur face with neutragena's t=gel.  yes it is a shampoo, but it helps keep my rosacea in control.  i don't any breakouts.  plus u can wash ur hair with it.  good luck with that.  dee

Check out the research from Dr. Michael F. Holick on skin conditions and vitamin D.  This could be a vit D deficiency as vit D has gobs of receptors in the hair follicles and are greatly involved in skin maintenance.  Get your vitamin D blood level checked (it's called a 25(OH)D test).  If you are deficient, see my section on tips for your doctor for getting the right treatment.  Take care.

Hi, Misty, go to the below youtube link of an academic lecture by Dr. Michael Holick.  Fast forward to about 44:00 and press the play button. Listen to what Dr. Holick says.  At 44:37, press pause and see if the skin condition that you see on a girl's scalp looks like the rash on your face.  I think it looks very similar.  I would email Dr. Holick -- his email is on my profile -- and ask him what your doctor can do to treat your condition.
