Sorry no, don't listen.. My dentist specializes in TMJ. Who better than a specialized dentist to find and correct a TMJ problem.. He has cured many people i know.. From ringing in the ears, to head aches..and the all come back to the jaw
Yes, I would go, just in case it is something other than what you think it might be, ie, grinding teeth while you are sleeping; or maybe something else.
Melissa.
HEY KID...
BELIEVE IT or not YOU SHOULD ALWAYS listen to your parents. They always have your best interest in mind. You may not think so at this point in your life but me being a mother of 3 I would do anything for my 3 kids....even take a bullet and die for them...
You will not ever understand any of this until you are a mother of your own kids...but since you put the question out into the universe I SAY YES YES LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER ALWAYS! ONE DAY BELIEVE IT OR NOT YOU WILL FIND OUT SHE WILL BE YOUR BEST FRIEND!

okay thankyou.. i will go anyway just to see if their is something wrong even though the pain went away..
Being a parent of 3 myself, I am the first to admit..I am not always right.. and in this case your mom telling you not to seek professional help is also not right.. sorry to disagree, but this is bad advice.. This is not about "taking the bullet" this is just bad advice. You sought help here from "THE DOCTORS" because you knew it was bad advice.. Eventually we all must let our kids go, and they in turn will help us in our golden years. We cannot always be there for our kids.. we can only give them the tools to make correct decisions for themselves..Which is what your mom did, and in turn you sought advice from THE DOCTORS..Its the first step, and the right one.
