this has been happening for a while. i can't seems to stop it but i was on the phone oneday with my mom and every time i talked i cleared my throat she got mad at me like it was an issue she said"i have to get that chacked out" i dont think it is an issue though..
i just have to clear it i hate doing it whenever i'm talking becuase honestly it is gross to hear that..
when i was a baby i did have a problem with my throat i had a tube down my throat but i dont think thats the issue causing me to clear my throat every single minute,
i dont think i gave you enough information but thats all i had to say..

I used to do this when I was younger, and it turned out to be a habit, kind of like biting nails, and then they said it was a "tic" (which means A habitual spasmodic muscular movement or contraction (ask.com) ). I had it for months and eventually it went away. I remember having it but not it going away, so it must have been gradual.

I have noticed that I, too, have been having to clear my throat more often, as a younger woman I don't ever recall having to keep 'CLEARING MY THROAT' . I have been a dispatcher for the past 10 years and I do have to talk either on the 900mhz radio and the phone, plus speak to my co-workers and supervisors and my spouse...yet, there I am having to keep clearing my throat...I no longer have any tonsils they went/came out when I was either 20 or 21 and believe me ICE CREAM does NOT help after surgery...if anything JELLO did alot better that went down a lot smoother...plus I have noticed that if any item/food/drink has any sugar that I tend to have to keep clearing my throat....then there are days I have NOT had any sugar whatsoever and there I am clearing and then spitting up mucus (sometimes it's yellow NOT clear).....
As to what all this is caused by I, too, have no idea....it is very, very, FRUSTRATING, especially when you are trying to keep a conversation going....
