I am a 49 year old mother and grandmother. I quit school and got married when I was 16. I gave birth to my first daughter 1 month before  turned 17. I divorced and married again and had 2 more daughters. Their father was pretty cruel, he beat me alot. Well I divorced him and things only got worse. He told so many lies on me and caused me to lose my girls when they were, 6,2,and 10 months old. I nearly went crazy, I turned to drinking and drugs to cope. Well, needless to say that only made things worse.

Now I am a recent graduate, I am now a medical assistant. I am recovering drug addict.  I can honestly say I am finally happy.  I found out 6 months ago that  I have Hepititis C-type 4. I am going in the hospital Jan. 21 st. to have a liver biopsy done. My doctor tells me that the treament for hepC type 4 is pretty intense. It includes  1 injection a week and 2 pills a day for 11 months. He tells me that it will make me really sick and cause me to be in pain often.  I went back to school so I could help take care of others. I wasn't counting on being sick myself, it has caused me to be more depressed.
