Melsbabie,

I can't find the original email that you sent me telling me where you are from in Indiana?  I don't know if I told you Blake and I (Lisa) live in Huntingburg Indiana.  I also will give you my email address l.kreilein@yahoo.com.  With loggin on and off at the doctors it takes me longer than if I just gave you my email address.  I don't usually give it out but you sound like a mother with a lot of unanswered questions and concerns.  I will help you as much as I can.

With your son being obsessed with Army and killing he must have seen or heard (which isn't hard to find or hear) about the war going on etc...  I have a friend who has 2 normal kedos and one is obsessed with fire.  Your son may have some compulsive disorder possibly or it's just a phase.  I know a lot of kids that play guns, war, killing.  I don't like it either when Blake starts shooting and saying kill etc.. when he's playing with his army toys.  I don't really know what to say about this issue.  Maybe when he gets that way try and redirect him to do some other activity or maybe go for a walk instead and take his mind off it.  I know it's hard to do something like that all the time.  While you love you child and want what's best you don't always have the time to be at there side 24/7.

Here's another website if have found helpful:  inf2parents-owner@yahoogroups.com

If you email me @ my yahoo email address I can forward some more hopefully useful information.

****I had to delete 1/2 my email it was to long so lets try and use regular email

Hi,

My son was recently diagnosed with it, just before school ended, and we are now being told that he may not have it! which is weird since we looked it up, and almost every symptom he has. We are not talking too the doctors about some thing, anything we can do to hellp him with it, and so far we have been told, to learn as much as we can, the autism he was diagnosed with is....aspbergers.....which we found out to be sorta rare. The child can become violent, which my son has, he is 12 years old, sometimes its hard on me trying to deal with him, but i guess mom has a way to calm him down, im still not sure if its something I have said, or my reaction to how he acts, but one of the things is, he is obbsessed with army and killing. It sacres the crap out of me, all he talks about is the army. What kind of autism does your son have?

What form of rare autism does your son have?  My son just turned 8 years old.  He was probably moderate to severe autistic up until probably age 4.  I was lucky enough to have great people around me, and Blake started intervention around 18 months old with speech and occupational therapies.  He entered preschool the day after he turned 3 and we got the autism diagnosis.  He's now in 2nd grade and doing wonderful.  While he still flaps and doesn't have good nutrition (has never ate meat or vegtables of any kind, except 3rd baby foods when he was little).  I am very lucky to have been blessed with such a wonderful son.

I found this saying on a website and it fits Blake to a tee and probably most autistic children.

Can you tell me a little bit about your son?

I don't always check my email so if I don't reply right away don't freak out.  I'm a single mom and always on the run doing something.

Take Care,
