I havent been really up to doing much the past couple days. Just sleeping at odd times and very lethargic. Well yesterday I was starting to feel better and over the day I ate 9 bowls of cereal. (3 in AM, 6 in PM) I know it is a lot but I was hungry for it! Anyway, Soon after i finished the cereal, I started getting extremely nauseas, my head pounded, I was shaky, and was out of it. Had no idea why, so I just tried to lay low and pray for a miracle to get better. After racking my brain trying to figure what the problem was I remembered that EACH BOWL of the cereal had 100% RDA of Iron in it, meaning I had had 900% (plus other foods % during the day) RDA; a HUGE Iron overload. Iron overloads can be toxic/fatal and can do heck of a job on your organs and can make you real sick. I looked up iron overload symptoms, and sure enough I had ALL of them except maybe one thing or so. It was obvious that what I was feeling was from eating all that cereal.
So I just wanted everyone to know this could happen, and to read the label for things.. I didn't think to read the label of this cereal because I knew it was good for me. Eat everything in moderation, and please, don't let somethin glike this happen to you. It is scary.

Almost 24 hours later and it isn't out of me.....I still have symptoms of Iron overload. Anyone have any idea how long this will take to get out of my bloodstream so the symptoms subside? Thanks.

Also any ideas of HOW to get the iron out of me?
