Yoga

I've heard so many things about yoga, and that there are many types of it, that all people can do it even people in wheelchairs.  How good of an exercise is it compared to other things, ie walking or runnng etc--any sport.  Is it the best you can do for your body or is it all based on people's opinions?

Yoga is good.  It helps you to "relearn" to breathe and strengthening, stamina, balance, toning and much more.  I'd start out small first. Go to a professional though so you don't do a pose wrong and hurt yourself.  You don't have to be flexible. Yoga gets you flexible.

Thanks Carole.  My neuro wants me to try it to try and help with sleep issues.  I can't afford a professional but have a tape of someone doing it to watch and get the idea of it.  Don't know if it will work but i guess we'll see.

Thanks Bobbie.  I've started to do some breathing stuff, but it isn't helping the sleep situation.  I see my neuro on the 18th.  I think this new med is making me have terrible dreams and nightmares, but it helps me out so I'm staying on it.
