I just ate a can of tuna fish that was far from expired (expires in 2011) but had been in the cupboard for awhile. Decided to try it, ended up throwing it away because after a few bites it tasted like metal. Does anyone know if the metal in the sides of a can of tuna can seep into the tunafish if it isnt eaten in a reasonable amount of time? Thanks, Melissa.

I don't eat canned tuna for this reason.
I buy the pouch tuna and you get more
than from a can and it's not drowning in
water. I hope you will give it a try.
I did try the pouch tuna and it's more expensive than the canned. I checked the can and you get more in the can than the small pouch (I looked by grams of protein--from what I remember the smaller pouch tuna has about 20 grams of protein vs. 30+ grams in a can of tuna), not sure about the larger pouch. I need to finish up the tuna in the cupboard, I just bought it, and will look into the pouch kind again. Thanks, I forgot about the pouch kind.
Melissa.

Yeah, I don't know what's up with that. I like tuna. Loads of protein.
