These pictures are bigger on my profile. Just got back fron the surgeon--3 weeks until I am in the clear of the joint popping out of the socket. And he said my muscles are weak so that becasue this isnt the usual case of a usual hip replacement it will be about a year of PT to strengthen the leg (not the usual 6-8 weeks).

I hope everything works out. My younger brother needs a total hip replacement, he was supose to have it done in the beginning of march, they have pospond it 3 times and now they are making him go through pt for 6 months before they will operate. He is in pain everyday, but he refuses to take his pain meds(Ibup).
Thanks...judging things at this point it looks to be a really good outcome, even though a long one--why have they postponed your brother's surgery since then? Mine was broken so it was emergency surgery, and I assume your brother needs one for ie, arthritis? Am I close? Because that makes no sense to me to put him through that much PT (and waiting) to help him out of the pain he's in. Why is he having the surgery, if you dont mind me asking?
