To "Friend" someone click on their name to go to their profile page and under their photograph is a link REQUEST FRIENDSHIP! Click that and it will send a note to the other person that you would like to be friends.  Once they accept you will be on each others Friends list. 

There is a system limit of 12 on Friendship requests per day. If you go over that, just wait until tomorrow and add some more.
