Saw The Neurologist!!!

Yeah, I saw the Neurologist yesterday and the only thing he said to me was to increase my medication. I explained to him that I can't take this pain daily anymore. I feel useless, I don't do much, I want to be able to feel like I am living some kind of a normal life. He responded to me "I am doing the best that I can".  Is He? Is He really? I am on like day 9 of the same damn headache! I wake up with it and then it progresses as the day goes or sometimes it's at it's worse as I wake up. My husband explained to him that this weekend I was so bad that the right side of my face was completely drooped, eye closed. He said "but that is not a new symptom". No...it's not but it doesn't seem normal either! I am so frustrated, I just want a few days of PAIN FREE! I want to be able to do things I enjoy...Is that Too Much To ASK???? I feel like I will be like this for the rest of my life...and I also feel that its getting worse, not any better! There are times I feel like a failure to my family, my kids, my husband because of the way I am.

I have headaches for 3 years now. i also have a back pain, neck pain, numbness and tingling hands/feet.

sill my doctor doesn't know why. i went to neurologist and nothing. all he tells me to excercise and go to physical therapy which will be next month.

i only been to doctors for an year now because my insurance took really long time. i have a free health insurance from the government.

I also suffer severely from headaches. Once, a very long time ago, one lasted for eleven days. I won't let that happen again. Today is my second day of a really bad migraine. You need to see a new doctor; a neurologist that specializes in headaches. My doctor gives me nerve blocks to stop severe pain. I will write again tomorrow and tell you more about my health issues. Right now, I have to go back to bed. Hope I can help you a little. I'm not a professional, just someone who has had migraines for 28 years. Check out my site, in the comments section I wrote a little about myself. SusanneAngelina

It's the middle of the night and I can't get back to sleep. Gee, maybe that's because I slept most of the day! I just posted something to juli1004. Please read it. Maybe it might help you. I sometimes feel the same way you do ( like a failure to my family and very frustrated over my whole condition). Try to stay positive about getting well. And do the things you can when you can. When you can't, don't worry about them, because they will all still be there when you are able to handle them. I always try to think that tomorrow will be a better day; and sometimes it is. Positive thinking helps! SusanneAngelina Add me to your friend's list and I will do the same.

Check for food allergies.  I had severe migraines for a while and it turned out to be a problem with nuts.  Keep a food diary and see if what you eat has any correlation to how you feel.
