hello everyone,

                 i have lyme disease, and if you think or believe you might have it, please read this. it might save your life. over the past 6 years the doctors couldnt figure out what was wrong, and i have seen hundreds of doctors.. they just threw different meds at me/ treating just the symptoms. i was sleeping 18+ hours aday.. i had extreme pain from the waist down, and my brain/concentration/memory is all messed up. the doctors ran the standard lyme blood work a couple times over the years and it kept coming back negative.. but something told me & my family that it was lyme disease.. trust your gut... so for 5 years i lived in bed, and went to the the doctors, thats it.. i had no life, and lost friends along the way because i couldnt do anything..I JUST WANTED TO DIE!!!  i begged my insurance over the years to run a more extensive lyme test, and they refused because it was too expensive, so i went to a lyme specialist and he agreed to send it to california. ITS CALLED A WESTERN BLOT... VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!! they only do this test in california, but had they done this test at the beginning i would be 100% better, ofcoarse it came back and i have ton's of the bacteria/disease in my blood. this all could have been avoided. had insurance not been so cheap.. over the past year i have been on tons of antibiotics and have started to have some better days, wether it be less pain, or awake a little longer.. by no means could i continue to live this way, but its way better than before and i'm able to get out of bed atleast..

What is Lyme disease?

Lyme disease is an infection that is spread by ticks. You can get Lyme disease if you are bitten by an infected tick. But most people who have had a tick bite do not get Lyme disease. It’s still important to see your doctor if you have a tick attached to you that you can't remove..

What are the symptoms?

One sign of Lyme disease is a round, red rash that spreads at the site of a tick bite. This rash can get very large.

Flu-like symptoms are also very common. People in the early stages of Lyme disease may feel very tired and have headaches, sore muscles and joints, and a fever.

These symptoms can start at any time, from 3 days up to a month after you have been bitten. Some people don't have any symptoms when they are in the early stages of Lyme disease. And they may not even remember getting a tick bite.

If Lyme disease goes untreated, you can have more serious symptoms over time. These include:

• Swelling and joint pain (like arthritis).
• Tingling and numbness in your hands, feet, and back.
• A lack of energy that does not get better.
• Trouble focusing your thoughts.
• Poor memory.
• Weakness or paralysis in your face muscles
