About Me
I am a 73 year old lady with chronic back pain due to an auto accident approx. 40 years ago which has progressively gotten worse over the years. I have had back surgery, neck surgery one year ago (my nerves collapsed and this surgery was to try to release the pressure as I got to where I could not walk or use my fingers and no control over my extremities). I was more less like a vegetable. At the time of my accident I was in excellent shape and had worked for years in the medical/legal field.
I have had spinal surgery, many trigger injections, several injections into the spine, physical therapies, EPS treatments, etc. My pain has gotten to the point where the pain is constant, the pain meds does not help, the TENS gives no relief, my bowel and bladder function is off.
My husband and I watch the show every day and we saw the procedure XLIF and I signed on just to find out more information about as to inquire. At this point I can't sit in a chair for very long without pain, I can't lie down, I can't sleep, and I can not plan a trip in the car or even something as simple as to plant a plant. I use to love to cook, work in the yard, go to see my grandchildren, etc.
I have no life because of this chronic pain. I can't take much more. I hate to wake up in the mornings (when I finally get to sleep) because I never know what I will be able to do.
Please send me information, if you have any to send so that I may inquire about this procedure and hopefully there will be someone in Houston, TX that can help me.

Your story sounds so sad. It is hard to live in daily pain. I have Dystonia which gives me daily pain. It was on the show today. There are many forms of it. I was treated for 18 years for neck pain, back pain and migraines after an auto accident. Finally in 2007 a Neurologist said I had Dystonia. Now we are trying to work on giving me more good days. Take care. I will be happy to listen.
I use to be happy, loved my job, raised four beautiful sons, loved to cook and have everyone over and lots of friends, always there when someone needed me. I loved to work in the yard with flowers and garden, definitely family oriented.
