Hi everyone, Do you find yourself at the frig or think of food after you've eaten all your calories for the day? I do!!! I read in an article to start a distraction/delay to eat by 10 mins later. Get side - tracked by doing something else than eating. You could have a glass of water, when watching TV get up during commercials. LOL The idea is to put a wedge between your emotional feelings and it's regular responses. DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO MAKE A CHANGE Hope this is helpful LYM ♥

Nope, I have stopped that completely and that used to be one of my biggest downfalls. Eating chips or ice cream while watching TV at night. Now I sip on some green tea, drink water and just get through it. If the urge gets really bad I take my dog for one last walk around the block and let the DVR record whatever show I might be interested in at the time.
If I get hungry at night, I just drink a big glass of lemon water, then I go to bed. If I am not sleepy, I will do some calisthenics and take a shower or slow candlelit bath oil or bubble bath. It relaxes me and I can go to sleep. Seriously, it is unusual for me to get hungry because I'm usually sleepy around 8:30 p.m. (I get up really early) so for the most part night time hunger is not a problem for me. Maybe you could munch a lightly steamed carrot. Good luck.
I am the same as writerchick1, the nighttime snacking was what I did while i watched tv or read. I decided with this change in my eating plans that I just wouldn't do it, at all. I just don't eat after dinner and choose different 'behavior' to deal with what I think I need when I am sitting down. It works for me!
Now writerchick1 those are great ideas. You should blog them so everyone can learn too. I am doing better. Not walking as much as I want too. I want my Honey to get me a blow flex stepper. hmm Maybe I can sell him it will help me snacking at night. Thanks tifa
