I was in Borders and saw her photo (Jillian Michaels, from the Biggest Losers) and said WOW she has a new book. It is not about exercise. The cover says " How To Build An Exceptional Life". I picked it up and read the back cover and at the top it says Lose The Chains. Wow it was like a light bulb went off in my head. I  opened the book and on the inside jacket it simply states: Imagine. Believe. Achieve. This is when I knew I had to get it. But if you have the right attitude - attitude and skills-you can and will accomplish anything and everything you want.This book gives you both, attitude and action. By it's end you will have all the tools you need to change your life. No hype. No false promises. You will learn to:

She then goes on to list a few things. I will start it today and let you know how it reads. I hope someone out here in 17DD land will read my blogs or get the book for yourself. This sounds very interesting!!  I also saw her on the Talk Show. She is so optomistic & confident ..Now she will  be joining The Dr's show in September. I can hardly wait to read more and share with yall.  Get ready for a change, I am .. I attached a poll to see where everyone's interest may lie.. If there is no interest I will still read the book LOL... I will not waste your time sharing. Yes, it is all about getting real and not using excuses anymore. I'm starting over on Cycle 1 again today. I have a couple of functions coming up on the weekend but need to use self control. It is so empowering when you go each day and you see the weight loss and you feel so good about it. I don't know why I sabotage myself. I need to get back on track and it starts now!! The book looks like it might be a good read. May have to pick that one up.

Glad to hear from you. I don't think you mean to sabotage yourself on purpose LOL...  Like you mentioned you see the results of weight loss and feel good about yourself. Things just happen. We all need to plan for functions that come up and work around them. If we have alot of weight to loose and we are true to ourselves we will plan and make better choices. That's all we need to do..  Glad you are not beating yourself up is good. You stay true to the plan and yourself and that is all so positve. 

I will let you know how the book is tomorrow. I have had to regroup myself and as I say recalculate and move forward. I make time for other things and not enought for God and myself. This is what I am working on now. Hope to see you soon.   tifa  ♥¸ . ♥¸ .♥

Hi Tifa........I have fallen off the 17DD plan because of life stresses...for some reason, when crisis arises, I simply give up on me.  Not that I  think taking care of myself isnt important, but my focus is on landing the job I've interviewed for, and much more importantly being caregiver to my father who just yesterday was diagnosed w/ pre lukemia and non hodgkins lymphoma. No mental energy for me right now...pls pray for Don (my dad), and Betty my mom.............God Bless:)

Hi, thank you so much for your note and your concern. It is so hot in SC right now. My hubby asked me what was the termperature this morning and I responded, "Hell!" The temperature in the house is around 72 and I'm soaking with perspiration. My husband is always cold and I'm always hot. We will have to work something out because I can't take this too much longer. . . .I'm watching what I eat and have cut back on the Oreos. LOL Don't think I've lost any weight recently, but haven't gained any either. am going to start some yoga classes next week and hop ethat helps. . . .As for Jillian's book, I'd like to hear about it, but not going to buy it right now. I think we all know what to do, we just need to get it together. I've got a few motivational books, so I don't need another one to add to my library at this time. I don't mind your sharing your impressions, though. It might help and I may determine that it might benefit me based on your opinions. . . .I'm going to go back to my low cholesterol diet plan and incorporate this diet into that. I'm sure I will get healthier and lose a few pounds at the same time. . . .Keep on the healthy eating path and keep me posted about your progress. Glad you had a good trip and visit with your family. The book sounds interesting.  I keep trying to find new ways to fix the foods I need to eat.  I just look at everything differently.  I have had moments of choosing food that were not healthy since I joined in January.  The difference is now I know when I am full, and I am able to stop.  The next morning I start on the cycle's menu.  I don't consider it over because I chose to cheat.  Luckily I have been successful.  I actually know I will reach my goal.  I still have 50 pounds to go.  People now tell me that there is no way I could have that much.  Well it must be the exercise.  This diet has changed my life AND all it cost was the price of the book.  All of this is free.  Look forward to hearing more insight from the book.

However, I may have missed something and have not had the energy to go and dust the old books off  LOL.....  If there is something that you find is another point of interest please please add your knowledge and share with the group. i think the book sounds very good. Along the lines of the principals of the secret....what a secret that turned out to be...i believe Jesus said it first. I keep picking up the book and than I get distracted. LOL....  I listed some to the chapters today on a blog. Maybe you can check them out. There are no recipes in this book just self help....  I am sorry If I mislead you some why .. My Bad  :0

Annie I still have 30 lbs myself and I am glad that there are others like us that will be around to help each other out. If there are some secrets you have learned please share them. I am open for any and every one. It seems like I am starting over again and my journey is half way over. Like someone told me my glass is half full ,..  I liked that positive thinking....  so don't count me out I am here for the end of my journey...  I want this to be the last time I have to lose this much weight....  tifa  ~ ♥♥ ~ ~ ♥♥ ~ ~ ♥♥ ~
