Well, I have been dealing with something new but not entirely unexpected. Last month I had been going through alot of things with my body. It kind of started the week that I lost my appitite for sweets. I was eating a small bowl of ice cream when suddenly I realized I didn't want it. During that week, I drank mostly water or unsweeten teas. I drank soda once in a while but never a finish one. I started eating more fruit and veggies. But then I noticed that I was getting a rash, you know where. Then it got worst and I thought I had a yeast infection, even though I didn't have other symptons. So I got the usual over the counter stuff. Didn't work. The itching and rashes got worst, covering my whole bottom and spreading up. I started getting sharp pains in my pelvis area. Finally, at work one morning, I couldn't take it anymore. I left work and headed for the trauma clinic. I was lucky enough to get in right a way. First thing the did was take urine samples, which I had no problems giving. then a nurse came in and gave me a glucose test. This is when I found out I am diabetic. That's a relief of sorts. The doctor came in and question me on my eating habits. I told him the only thing I did was lay off sweets. He told me that the little action threw off my chemical balance. He checked me out and told me I had a pelvic infection and some sort of bactieria grownth too. He also told me I was dehydrated. So, before I left, I had to drink a lot of water. Good thing I was wearing a depend. So, I am now on Metformin, and I had to take two different anti-biotics to get rid of the infections. Which mean I had to get more over the counter meds for yeast infections. I am doing better now. I am used to sticking my fingers a few times a day. My glucose level is still high but it's going down, slowly. This runs in the family, my mom is diabetic and we now take the same meds. But, after reading up on the signs and symptons, I realized that I had more symptons than I realize! Hows that for a month of excitement!

My mom and most of the people on her side of the family have it too. I changed my ways 6 years ago , lost my excess weight and maintain a healthy diet so I hope the disease skips me. I say hopes because I have had a few episodes of acute pancretitis, so I am not so sure.
WOOOOO!~
