Headache

So I have had this same headache for 9 days it has been in the same spot. I get nause, double vision, and light headed. The pain level is always the same and always in the same spot. All the doctors I see just give me medication and nothing works. I do get really bad headaches but this feels different.

Cut out the green tea. That usually makes these types of headaches and light headedness disappear almost overnight.

Is it a possible food allergy that could be causing the headache?  Too much caffeine?  Migraine?  Have you seen your DR or a neurologist about it?

I don't have any food allergies, I don't have any caffeine during the day. I did see my doctor about it and he just is giving me medication after medication but nothing works. When I take something for the pain it wil help for like 20 minutes then stop working.

Try cutting out RED DYE in anything you eat or drink. Especially RED DYE #40.  My 21yo daughter gets horrendous headaches from consuming things with red dye in them.

She had been having awful headaches for years (starting at about 9 or 10 years old)  and the doctors tried everything,  Different meds, they thought it was her glasses, hormones from puberty, they did an MRI. Everything!  Nothing helped!  Then one day when she was about 18, I read about someone who got headaches from red dye & told her to try cutting it out.  Within a couple days the headaches were gone.  GONE!!   They don't call it an allergy, but a "sensitivity" because you don't get hives and the typical allergy reactions. But in any case since she cut out items with red dye, her headaches have stopped. Well, she gets a normal headache from time to time like anyone else.  And she knows it when she accidently has something with red dye in it because within hours of having it she will have that god-awful headache!!

You have nothing to lose, give it a try!  But read the label on everything!!  You will be shocked at how many things have red dye in them! Even things that you would never imagine.

I didn't have food allergies until I developed them for the very first time in my life at age 40.  I think they can start at any point in a person's life.  Like JustMe said, cutting out certain things one at a time might lead you to something you realize you have an allergy or sensitivity to.

Agree with cutting out possible triggers one by one to see if you DO have any foods/dyes/preservatives that you are sensitive to.

Another "angle" could be a neck strain.  Years ago, I had a headache for 13 days straight, and I realized I had just signed up at the gym and got a free workout with a personal trainer.  He really pushed me hard, even though I have neck problems.  The adrenaline was pumping, so I didn't even notice any neck pain or tightness while working out.  Then for 13 days straight, I had a really bad headache, even went to the ER because I was scared it could be something more serious.  I told the doctor in the ER the events leading up to my headache, and he reassured me it was due to a neck strain and sent me on my way...and it turns out, he was right!

So sorry that you have this pain! Do you suffer from migraine headaches! I suffer with them and sometimes they are horrible, & painful! The longest headache I ever had was 2 days. Try Ibuprofen!
