I'm 63, retired and the mother of 1 son, adopted from India.  He is now 25 and serving in the Army in Iraq.  I'm also a lesbian, living with my partner of 5+ yrs.  I was an Early Childhood Professional for 20+ yrs and have also worked extesively in computer technical support.  I share my home, not only with my partner, but with 3 cats.  The cats are the true owners of the place.  Often I get the impression that they simply tolerate us because we have thumbs and are better able to open the little cans of cat food...lol.
