People who have an active lifestyle probably drink "gatorade" or "powerade" as they do their daily exercises or workouts. And many of us have drank or still drink gatorade or powerade during hot summer months due to losing fluids. Today, I found this article and makes me wonder: wait a minute? really?
(Gatorade is from PepsiCo and Powerade is from Coca-Cola)

(Petition at Change.org asking Gatorade to remove brominated vegetable oil)
What is your take, doctors? is it still safe or O.K. to drink?

Here in Chicago, our local ABC news just reported- both last night and this morning- that, allegedly, PepsiCo intends to remove this ingredient, due to consumer concern and demand, and the reformulated product should become available within the next few months. Let's hope so!
I stopped drinking Gatorade years ago when I discovered coconut water. NO artificial colorings, no preservatives, no chemicals, and MORE electrolytes! Very high in potassium, and has a decent amount of magnesium, plus three other electrolytes.
Look at the Gatorade label...it has a pittance of potassium, doesn't seem to have any magnesium last time I checked, and seems like the only electrolyte they have more of is sodium. Who needs more sodium in their diet?
I thought it strange that they claim to replace electrolytes and there seems to be more sugar and artifical ingredients than electrolytes!
