Its me, Lacey, from the show!!!

Hey there...its me, Lacey. I appeared on the show back in Nov and it was rerun in January since it was a popular show. I was diagnosed with female pattern hairloss 7 years ago and since the show, I have been doing great. I was given a years worth of laser therapy and I am currently ungoing my treatments weekly. I would love to meet other women that understand me and are going what I am going through. You may have even seen me on the show. I got a great amount of resposes from people finding me ever since I was on the show and I am told that I was very brave to go show the world what I go through.  I work with cancer patients...things could always be worse. I am very proud of myself. If you are in the same boat as me or have something to say, I would love to hear it!!!

Hi Lacey,

I did see the show. You were remarkable! Let me also add, you are a very courageous, beautiful ,young woman. I am very glad that you are getting the help you need.  Continue your treatment and you will do just fine!

Yep, I started losing my hair about 2 years ago. Well, I am 58, African-American female. I did read an article about a year-ago that stated most women of my race lose their hair at that age possibly due to: 1) over-processed hair from too much relaxing over the years. 2) medication 3) stress. I believe I fall in the first category, because, my hair is extremely fine and didn't need a relaxer at all. But, you know how that goes, "everyone is doing it."  After reading the article, I've met many women who has lost hair over 50 and did not receive special treatment. It came back within a year or so.

But, continued good luck to you.

You are so brave to work with cancer patients. I am a Med-Surg, ER Nurse.

Hi Lacey, I saw you on the Doctors & it simply brought me to tears. I can totally relate to your story. I am 26 years old and over the last few years, I have noticed my hair getting thinner and thinner.  You wouldn't know it by looking at me, but people would be shocked to find out how long it takes me to set my hair in just the right position so it covers my bald skin. Its brought me to tears many times and I've spent so much money on shampoos, oils, pills claiming to thicken hair but ofcourse nothing has worked. I thought there was just nothing I could do about it and I would have to just except it. After seeing your show, I booked an appointment with a specialist and was diagnosed with female pattern hairloss. They said I would have to do laser therapy 1 day a week for 6 months and will see results. Also to buy the Hairmax laser comb. I was just wondering how you are doing & if you've noticed a difference in your hair? Thanks so much. Hope all is well.

Hi Lacey. I saw your show yesterday and I cried while you were crying. I really admire your courage. I just want you to know that you're not the only one and that I understand you: I am 19 and I am loosing my hair, although I had huge hair when was younger. I tried thousands of drugs, but in vain. It's a tough situation, especially when you're a girl... I would like to know if your laser comb was effective. I wonder wether I buy one. It's not that inexpensive, and I am only a student.

Good luck
