HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON EVERYONE!~

I hope all my friends here on THE DRS WEBSITE will have a HAPPY and SAFE HOLIDAY SEASON!~

Please tell me what will you all be doing this Christmas and New Year?  I would love to hear from you all!  Also please tell me what STATE or Country you are in too!  It will give me a snapshot into your life!

Tommy and I are staying in Ohio!  We have done some volunteer work,  we delievered a washing machine to a woman who just got out of the Domestic Abuse shelter and the joy which came to us for bringing that to her was priceless!

Another thing we did our neighbors grandchildren are 3-4 years old and we bought them presents and we told them that SANTA delievered these presents to the wrong house!  There EYES lit up!

Although we will miss our family's of origin,  they completely understand and support us for staying here this Christmas.....

I hope you all have a lovely holiday and please tell me what you all are up too!  Oh and do you drink eggnog?

I'll be spending time with my parents. Quiet and low-key. I live in Massachusetts.  About the eggnog, I like it, ok I LOVE it, but don't drink it (even the light kind---if you're gonna have it then might as well have the real stuff) because it has too manyc calories and fat. I know, it's once a year or so, but one cup of eggnog leads to 3 or 4 etc.  I can't put eggnog in moderaion lol :)  For the New Year I will probably ?? be asleep or just welcome in the new year on my own and then go to bed.  Not a big partier!

M,

Thanks for your response!  I know what you mean about the eggnog!  Taste so great but you cant just have 1 glass.  So weird when I dont drink anything or taste anything sweet I dont crave it but once I have a donut or a cookie all I want is another and another etc...

I have done so well on my diet I am going to eat what looks great over the holidays without any guilt.  What really has helped me and getting the final weight off me is to write down what I eat during the course of the day,,

I tried writing down everything I ate during the course of the day and I found that I ate more than I should be.  I don't know how it happened but when I don't write things down it makes me wonder what I've eaten and prevents me from overdoing it on food.  So I stopped writing dowwn stuff recent'y.  Thanks for the advice though :)  I know what you mean about drinking/tasting something sweet that leads to craving it more.  Happens to me too but what I make sure i do is have a little something sweet everyday so that one day when I taste something sweet I don't go out of control because I haven't had it in like forever.  Have a great holiday!

Melissa.
